Recycled Beach Debris, Vancouver Island

Dimensions: 50 X 25 cm

I had a lot of fun making this. I put together the float with the rope coming out the top as an experiment, and liked how it went together with the red painted wood. I wasn't sure where to go with it until I thought about it as a metaphor of Tofino running out of water. We get 3 meters of rain annually and then, without any warning, we run out of water during the last weekend of the summer. It was a bizarre affair. The "More Stress, Less Stress" downrigger handle doubling as a tap handle said it perfectly.
